About the art -
It shows a face of a young boy having mixed feelings in his mind. Memories of a past era and dreaming and reality both hover over his mind. Happy memories of good times spent in the company of his beloved linger in his mind along with the pangs of separation from his beloved in course of time due to various circumstances. Various strong and bold lines, their intersections and interactive amalgamation along with the artistic use of optimum colors such as red, orange, blue, etc have enhanced the visual aesthetic glory and distinctiveness on an emotional and rational plane. What is actually shown on his face is the happy memory of the past along with a dilemma in his mind about the recurrence of the same in the future. The mixed emotions iconically expressed on his face, in fact, render a new aesthetic vision to the work along with a dimension of reality of life and uncertainty about the future. Happiness on the face is indeed only transitory in nature to be followed by probable anxiety, uncertainty and gloom/agony.
