Acrylic on Canvas
Description: My paintings are mostly inspired by the greatest epic named 'The Ramayana'. Once I happened to go to Rajasthan for an educational tour. There I saw a boy in getup of Lord Hanumana asking for alms and earning his livelihood. It touched my heart and received inspiration from him. I have painted the boy who has coloured his face that you see in the painting one of the most favourite characters called 'Lord Hanuman' whose dance movements are spectacular. In Thailand, the 'Ramakien' dance routine was originally a take on India's 'Ramayana'. They Imitate an Indian Mythological epic called 'Ramayana'.
They perform their traditional art and in India, I see a poor boy painted his face like Hanuman and performing on the road. In this painting dramatic life of a little boy is being presented who has crowned which symbolises Lord Hanuman shown in his body where we find inner peace and donate for self-satisfaction. It suggests that instead of donating money to God, give to such needy children.
