Yashpal Kamble (born 1982) is a Mumbai-based contemporary artist whose practice is deeply rooted in spiritual contemplation and Buddhist philosophy. A graduate of the prestigious Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai, he holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Painting, which laid a strong academic foundation for his evolving artistic language.

Yashpal’s work primarily explores themes of meditation, inner silence, and the disciplined yet serene lives of Buddhist monks. His paintings reflect a search for balance between stillness and movement, restraint and vibrancy, form and emotion. By combining charcoal with acrylic, he creates compositions where subtle linear drawings coexist with expressive colour fields, enhancing the meditative quality of his subjects.

The recurring presence of monks in his work is not merely representational but symbolic, serving as metaphors for mindfulness, detachment, and spiritual awakening. His restrained compositions, minimal backgrounds, and calm postures invite viewers into a reflective space, encouraging pause and introspection in an otherwise fast-paced world.

Yashpal Kamble has exhibited widely across India and internationally, including shows in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, New York, and Dubai. Alongside his studio practice, he is actively engaged in art education and currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Aditya College of Architecture, Mumbai, contributing to the development of young creative minds.
