Visual Artist Debasis Das is a senior and creative artist who was born in Kolkata in 1976. He got this talent from his father (Late Nimai Ch. Das) who was also a good artist. He completed his B.V.A. (Graphic Design/Applied Art) and M.V.A. (Graphic Design/Applied Art) in 2001 and 2004 respectively.
After completing his academic carrier he joined a digital 2D animation sector. He learned about cartoon drawing with Late. Chandi Lahiri. He had successfully worked as a flash animator and then he joined TATA Interactive systems as an illustrator and animator. Right now he is working with a private concern in the same role.
He had established his paintings from abstract formations. Established human, natural and object-oriented. He was passionate about watercolor painting. After that, he developed his forms. The drawing was the main thing and somewhere he uses some color and textures.
The linear construction of Debasis Das built up the metaphor. His cute humor is transformed into an uncanny sense of anxiety.

His statement about his art form:
Sprawling with colors, I paint the unexplained beauty of the entity. My subconscious feelings and their façade find an impression on the canvas. Through the flow of the brush and the smeared blend of colors, I attempt to make the patches realistic and soothing, complementing every stroke. Nature, life and the apparent mechanism are closely associated elements of my creation.
Abstract expressions relate the new structures out of elements that have not been borrowed from the visual sphere and create a relevant subject in my paintings. Going beyond the earthy images, my canvas presents the unseen and virtual as well. Starting from primitive cave paintings up to modern art, nature plays the part of an enchantress and each era of painting reflects the history of the world and its nature. The elements of nature and its journey are noticeable in my strokes. My efforts find the coherent poise of every living creature and gradually sway into the depths of the characters. Women and men both equally create the harmony of my canvas; their stories and related movements are fondled into a mixture of colors and forms. Restraining the external hindrances, my paintings offer the amalgamation of the beauty of nature, its characters, the language, the materialism and above all the nascent imagination.
I paint my expressions and explore the unknown mystery of the world and its components; often diving into the depths through my free-flowing strokes.
