Have been invited to be part of STEERING COMMITTEE for – First International PRINT BIENNIAL – organized by - Lalit Kala Akademi – New Delhi - 2018
At present working as VICE-PRINCIPAL, and ACADEMIC DEAN, at South Delhi Polytechnic for Women, Lajpat Nagar - IV, New Delhi.
A well-known renowned artist Ananda Moy Banerji, Born in 1959, in Kolkata, India, is currently living in Delhi/NCR. After completing his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from College of art Delhi 1975-1980, and then Master in Fine Arts in Printmaking from Kala Bhavan – Santiniketan 1983-1985. Later he went to Camberwell College of Arts and Crafts-London for a research associateship in Printmaking under the Charles Wallace India Trust award. He has exhibited in numerous shows in India and abroad including a number of Solo shows in – Gallery Espace, The British Council and Lalit Kala Akademi – New Delhi.
He has participated in numerous exhibitions (Annuals, Biennials, Triennials) in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Japan, Korea, Germany, UK, USA, China, New Zealand, Canada, Russia, Greece, Egypt, Norway including- the 10th Triennial-India, and First Print Biennial – organized by Lalit Kala Akademi- India. He has mounted various solo, and group shows in various cities if India and abroad.
Ananda Moy is the recipient of various awards which include – 64th and 67th Annual best exhibit awards – A.I.F.A.C.S – New Delhi. 20th Sahitya Kala Parishad award- New Delhi – 1991.i. XXXVIth national Akademi Award – Lalit Kala Akademi – 1994. Charles Wallace India Trust Award – 1196 – 1997.Nagasawa art park residency award – Japan – 2001. He has received – a cultural scholarship, and a Junior Fellowship in the field of visual art from the ministry of culture and human resources, govt of India. He is also the recipient of the Sailoz Mukherjee award from – the College of Art Delhi – in 1980, and the Indo Soviet Land Nehru Award – in 1973.
He has attended various art camps in India and abroad including --- Uttarayan – Gujarat, Parivartan – Siwan – camp in Mezzotint technique. “Lie Mois De Estampe“ - Paris. Traditional Uki Oye printmaking – Nagasawa Art park residency – Japan, and various camps organized by Lalit Kala Akademi and other major organizations.
He is a regular speaker on Art and Printmaking. Has been part of various talks and workshops at various levels. An active founder member of Indian Printmakers Guild (1990 - 2001), and Multiple Encounters (2004 till date).
His works are in the collection of various Galleries, Institutions, Museums, Akademi, and several private collections. He is Academic Dean and Vice-Principal at – South Delhi Polytechnic For Women – New Delhi.
